Fedor Emelianenko makes his return to action in less than a month. Are you excited? Well, it appears fans will only be able to watch his heavyweight scrap against Jeff Monson on pay-per-view. Are you pumped now?
Up until the release of Friday’s video promo, it was unknown how M-1 Global was planning on making the show available for viewing. Many thought Showtime might host the shindig, but it seems the premium cable network will stand clear.
No word on how much the PPV will cost or who else will be competing in the card.
The November 20th event takes place inside the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia.
Emelianenko owns an unmatched 31-4 (1 NC) record. Prior to his last three forgettable outings, the sport’s most decorated heavyweight was riding a 27-fight winning streak which span for nearly a decade.
Monson holds an extensive 42-12 professional record, but was last seen dropping a convincing unanimous decision loss to Daniel Cormier at “Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum.” The veteran had won his previous eight contests prior to the June defeat.
