Roy Nelson has lost two consecutive bouts and came under heavy fire from UFC president Dana White after his last outing against Frank Mir. Knowing that his job could be on the line this Saturday when he meets Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic at UFC 137, Nelson promises to put on the performance of a lifetime.
To help launch Roy Nelson 2.0, “Big Country” called upon Mir to help him refine his game. Nelson’s Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt also came in handy in assisting Mir prepare for his UFC 140 rematch against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, as well.
In addition, Nelson discusses a potential future in professional wrestling, his bushy beard and a recent scare that helped him put fighting into perspective.
UFC 137 takes place this Saturday inside the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
