After collecting his fourth victory of the year this past Saturday, it appears Donald Cerrone (Pictured) will be back at it before the ball drops on 2011. The “Cowboy” has agreed to co-headline UFC 141 opposite Nate Diaz.
Cerrone bumped his resume to 17-3 after quickly disposing of Dennis Siver at UFC 137. At the post-fight press conference he expressed great interest in squeezing another scrap in before the year wrapped, and it appears the 28-year-old has been granted his New Year’s wish.
Although Diaz was on hand to witness Cerrone’s ever-evolving game this weekend, he ain’t scared, homie. Nick’s younger bro snapped his two-fight losing streak in impressive fashion against Takanori Gomi in his last outing.
UFC 141 takes place December 30th inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. A heavyweight top contender bout between Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem headlines the pay-per-view broadcast.
Here are the athletes expected to appear in the show:
TJ Grant vs. Jacob Volkmann
Sean Pierson vs. Dong Hyun Kim
Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Alexander Gustafsson
Jon Fitch vs. Johny Hendricks
Donald Cerrone vs. Nate Diaz
Alistair Overeem vs. Brock Lesnar
