And then there were 10, as in only ten bouts that will appear in this weekend’s “UFC 138: Leben vs. Munoz” event. On Tuesday morning, the world’s premier MMA promotion announced Paul Taylor was rear-ended at a red light and suffered whiplash on Monday. The injury will force him out of his lightweight scrap against Anthony Njokuani.
Due to the last-minute nature of the news, the company will not replace the bout in the lineup. Therefore, the light heavyweight contest between Anthony Perosh and Cyrille Diabate has been promoted to the main card in place of the 155-pound affair.
Njokuani will be shelved for another show.
The action kicks off early this Saturday, with the first fight scheduled to stream live on Facebook at approximately 12:30PM ET/9:30AM PT. Spike TV will make the five featured bouts available via same-day tape-delay at 8PM ET/PT.
