According to the Boston Herald, Tito Ortiz has pretty much closed the door on Dana White and the UFC. On the flip side, MMAPayout is reporting that the UFC has ordered a cease and desist on Tito Ortiz. The UFC is claiming that the picture on the cover of Ortiz’ book, entitled This is Going to Hurt, features intellectual property which belongs to the UFC.

Ortiz is shown wearing the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship on the book’s cover. In order for Ortiz to be allowed to use the picture for the cover, he would’ve had to requested permission from the UFC prior to the book’s release.

“I’ve done a lot of things in the UFC that no other fighters have ever done — I’m living the dream. I’m doing something that I didn’t think I was going to do well at and I’m doing awesome at it. I look at my past as a legacy that I’ve left behind and I’m going to continue on,” Ortiz told the Herald.

After a short break and the promotional tour for his book, Ortiz will sit down and go over the offers that he’s received from various MMA organizations. The front runners to attain Ortiz’ services are Affliction, EliteXC and Adrenaline MMA.
