UFC 137: Payout Perspective [MMAPayout]

“The top of this card was hurt first by Diaz’s no-shows, the card reshuffle and GSP’s injury. The UFC first touted UFC 137 as being Champion vs. Champion. Despite the removal of GSP from the main event, the UFC indicated that the show was a sell-out. After GSP’s injury.”

Exclusive Interview with UFC 138’s Mark Munoz [MMAMania]

“I’ll take a submission victory or a knockout. I will take that for sure. I don’t see this fight going five rounds at all. I think we’ll see a guys that come in there swinging and there’s just gonna be fireworks happening. We fight to finish and not just score points so I don’t see this fight going to the end of the fifth round at all.”

Jake Ellenberger Not Impressed by Nick Diaz [Lowkick]

“His slap-box game… I would like to fight Diaz. Ideally I’d love to fight Diaz, his little patty-cake game he plays, man if he played that with me I’d put him down for sure, 100 per cent. If you did that where I come from, you get your ass whooped.”

Mixed signals of sportsmanship in MMA [FightOpinion]

“The fire in the eyes of two opponents standing toe-to-toe and flipping through their arsenal of attacks to win a fight is the last place for amiability. Of course, it’s only just a sport and once the fight ends.”

UFC Eying 2 UK Shows in 2012 [MMAFighting]

“While some in those parts have claimed they’ve been neglected, UFC executives say they have already planned another event for the UK in 2012, and possibly a second.”
