UFC Munoz Leben 138 weigh ins

“UFC 138: Leben vs. Munoz” took place Saturday inside the LG Arena in Birmingham, England.

Middleweight Mark Munoz and his vicious ground-and-pound attack managed to slice a cut above Chris Leben’s left eye during their 10-minute tussle. After the 2ndRound, Leben claimed he couldn’t see and the ringside doctor had no choice but to call the scrap.

Four of the five preliminary bouts went to the judges’ scorecards, so the night’s main card contestants wanted to make sure they didn’t burden the officials. All five featured fights ended before the final horns blared, four by way of submission.

Post-Fight Notes:

According to UFC president Dana White, 10,823 fans packed the arena, garnering a record-setting $1.5 million live gate.

White claimed there are 40 millionaires (USD) in the UFC.

He was ecstatic about the performances the fighters put on in the Octagon’s long-awaited return to England.

White loves when fans bash on a card prior to showtime and the event turns out to be amazing.

Although Munoz requested a title fight against champ Anderson Silva, White took a ‘We’ll see’ approach. Me mentioned Michael Bisping a couple of times, as well as Chael Sonnen and Dan Henderson.

He added that Carlos Condit has been offered a bout against Josh Koscheck on Super Bowl weekend.
