After wrapping a spectacular show in San Jose, California over the weekend, UFC president Dana White (Pictured) shed some light on their upcoming shows on FOX and FX.
According to White, their debut on FX will likely take place January 20th, but contrary to previous reports, the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee will not host the event. However, he refrained from confirming where the card would take place.
The UFC previously announced a three-round lightweight affair between Jim Miller and Melvin Guillard will headline the freebie fight card.
In regards to their follow-up on FOX, the United Center in Chicago, Illinois will accommodate the extravaganza. Unlike their hour-long premiere on the network, the January 28th broadcast will run two hours and showcase four live fights.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that none of the FOX scraps will be of the championship variety. White hinted that he does have a featured contest in mind, but he wasn’t willing to give up the goods until meeting with his new television partners this week.
He said “it’s possible” middleweight top contender Chael Sonnen could appear in their second show on FOX.
