UFC Featherweight Michihiro Omigawa

On this Thanksgiving Thursday, the world’s premier MMA organization added a pair of featherweight bouts to their UFC 142 roster. Michihiro Omigawa (Pictured) will face Yuri Alcantara, while Felipe Arantes meets Antonio Carvalho in the company’s return to Brazil.

Alcantara was last seen posting a decision win over Arantes at UFC 134 in August. He’ll now put his 12-fight winning streak on the line against Omigawa, who finally scored his first win in the big leagues at UFC 138.

Arantes will look to notch his first victory under the UFC’s banner while trying to ruin Carvalho’s Octagon debut.

The UFC is still determining which city and venue will host the fiesta, however Rio de Janeiro’s HSBC Arena is the current frontrunner to win the bid.

A featherweight title bout between champion Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes headlines the pay-per-view broadcast.

Here is the card’s updated roster:

Ednaldo Oliveira vs. TBD

Yuri Alcantara vs. Michihiro Omigawa

Felipe Arantes vs. Antonio Carvalho

Stanislav Nedkov vs. Fabio Maldonado

Mike Massenzio vs. Rousimar Palhares

Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Erick Silva

Paulo Thiago vs. Mike Pyle

Sam Stout vs. Thiago Tavares

Terry Etim vs. Edson Barboza

Vitor Belfort vs. Anthony Johnson

Chad Mendes vs. Jose Aldo (UFC Featherweight Champion)
