With Spike TV set to play their final preliminary chip on UFC 141, ION Television has agreed to offer up four live “UFC 140: Jones vs. Machida” prelims on December 10th. According to Heavy.com, the two-hour broadcast begins at 7PM ET/4PM PT and will lead directly into the pay-per-view.
This won’t be ION’s first foray into the mixed martial arts arena, as the network showcased preliminary action for UFC 125 in January and UFC 127 the following month.
ION is available on channel 305 for DirecTV subscribers and is located on channel 216 on DishNetwork.
Although no official announcement has been made by the UFC, the card’s two remaining prelims are expected to be accessible via stream on their Facebook page.
A light heavyweight affair between champion Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida headlines the PPV show. Former champs Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will serve as the night’s co-featured attraction.
