Although UFC president Dana White previously professed the company’s follow-up show on FOX could feature four live fights, the card’s event poster is suggesting the show will only showcase a trio of scraps.
Two top contender contests will serve as the show’s featured attraction. Middleweights Mark Munoz and Chael Sonnen will duke it out to determine who gets next dibs at Anderson Silva’s hardware, while a light heavyweight affair between Rashad Evans and Phil Davis will decide who’s next in line for a shot at the 205-pound crown.
The United Center in Chicago, Illinois will host the festivities. Unlike last month’s hour-long premiere on FOX that aired only one fight, the UFC’s second event on primetime television is expected to run two hours and showcase at least three live bouts.
FOX will broadcast the card’s main bouts live beginning at 8PM ET/5PM PT.
