Strikeforce Gilbert Melendez

Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal” features a pair of title fights, yet Saturday’s event isn’t generating much hoopla. After seeing what the Gambling Gods had to say about the card’s main bouts, we now know why.

Three of the four featured scraps airing in the Showtime broadcast won’t even be close, per the sports books. Lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez (Pictured) is an overwhelming 4-to-1 odds-on favorite to retain his strap against Jorge Masvidal in the night’s main attraction.

However, “El Nino’s” line is nothing compared to Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos’ 9-to-1 favorite status against Hiroko Yamanaka in the card’s other championship affair.

The Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California will host this weekend’s festivities. The Showtime broadcast begins at 10PM ET/PT.
