Wow, that was a great fight and had potential to be legendary. They were going at it, and it was pretty damn even. Lawler killed him in the first, but he came back in the second and I thought that he was winning the third as well.
It was kinda stupid how the fans were booing them early on. Granted there wasn't too much activity, but in a championship fight, you do have to feel out your opponenet a little.
Can't wait for the rematch |

| It worked out in Smith's favor. He got his win bonus, and he'll get another title fight in a rematch w/ Lawler, which I have heard rumor will headline the next EliteXC fight on CBS (which I won't be watching). If the fight would have continued, he would have probably lost (he said so himself in the post fight interview), and he would have went on being a journeyman in the sport. That premature stoppage bought him more time in the limelight and earned him several extra thousands. |

Well, I think that he said he might have lost just because of the eye poke. I think that if it didn't happen, he had a great shot at winning the fight. it was 1-1 and I had him winning the 3rd. |

| Smith was getting his ass kicked and would have lost. He got lucky that the fight wa a No Contest. That fight sucked anyways, didn't live up to the hype. |
