| Why are you all Hughes haters? He has done so much for the sport and will retire as the best WW ever when it's all said and done. Everyone is jocking GSP, but lets see him defend the belt five and two times. He can't even do it once. |

In respect to him being a great fighter, in the past, he is currently (and that is the opperative word there) the best WW to step into the Octagon. I think that GSP will in the future be seen as the better of the 2 fighters. I also think much of the hate has to do with the fact that Hughes is a complete ass. Just MO |

That's assuming that GSP stays at 170, which there is heavy talk that he isn't. That is what is going to make Hughes' run that more impressive. |

| But you have to take into consideration that Hughes made his runs during a very different time. The sport has changed so much and gotten so much better, I am not sure he would have had runs like that. He still would have been great, but not to that extent. |
