GSP vs. Penn this New Year's Eve, then GSP vs. Anderson Silva at 185 at next year's New Year's Eve?
It could happen. |

| It could, but that is all wishful thinking at this point. GSP vs Penn needs to be finalized first, then he needs to win. Also, they will have him fight Alves/Sanchez winner first. If he can win both of those, then maybe, but that would only be 2 fights in 12 months for him. That might not be enough to satisfy the UFC. |

| It would be a sweet scnario, but one thing at a time for GSP. I would like to see him beat BJ again, first. |

| It would be a dream scenario, however there are a lot of things that would need to go right for this to happen. GSP winning, GSP staying healthy, Silva winning and staying healthy as well. It would be a great way to end the year though. |

I agree we are getting ahead of ourselves, but it's fun to do and that's what these boards are for. I'd think GSP would have to beat BJ in Dec (assuming the fight is finalized), then beat Alves/Sanchez winner, then maybe he'll fight Swick cause I think they need GSP fighting more than twice a year. On the other side, things need to work out for Silva too. I have no idea what his fight itinerary for 2009 is other than a probably fight with Okami. Otherwise, I have no idea how often he'll be fighting at light heavyweight, and if that's the direction he goes, he may be fighting Liddell, Forest, or assuming he's a free man, Rampage in the super fight of Dec 09. |
