Ok, now that we know who Kimbo is fighting, do you guys think that he will be the main event that night? Over Shields/Daley (WW title on the line)?
Kimbo is the draw, but remember how much shit they got last time Kimbo headlined a CBS show...

| He has to headline. I don't think he should, but the common fan isn't going to know who Shields is, but they know who that circus clown is. |

| I am a fan of shamrock and Kimbo, everyone critisizes Kimbo as a circus act and how he isnt ligit for the sport, fuck them.... i love MMA, im a fan in the truest sense, I train and enjoy watching it, but lets not get to ahead of ourselves...the guy fought in the streets yeah...and now he fights in the cage, its no diff. then if jackie robinson played stickball and then professional baseball... The sport is MMA and its fighting. The pro's arent cavemen or anything like that but they are tough guys who punch and kick and submit each other. So i welcome Kimbo, I welcome anyone who can fight at that level. shamrock is too old. I think unless he gets a leg lock slice willl catch him on the chin/head.[/b] |

| I want to like Kimbo, he seems like a pretty sorted guy and undoubtably has some power in his hands but he needs to start doing MMA, not street fighting. Anyone who gets raped on the ground by Glass Jaw Thompson needs to seriously rethink their BJJ and Wrestling coaches. If he developed a ground game and fought some decent fighters, Rogers for example, I think he'd be welcomed by the more hardcore fans but at the moment EliteXC seems to be happy parading him as a freak fighting faggots and has-beens, poor fella. |

I think that the reason they didn't give him Rogers and Shamrock instead was because they know that he is gonna kill Ken. He hasn't won a fight in like 5 years.
It would suck for Shields to not be the main event, but it is Kimbo and CBS is all about ratings, even if it will be another circus |
