| didn't sit well with me. I thought that he did a great job the entire fight, but then seemed to be content with winning it on the cards and ran the entire 3rd. That was kinda weak, Florian is better than that. |

| I don't think that he ran, and if he did, it was smart. He was dominating the fight, why exchange and risk getting caught? |

| I was a little pissed about that too. I thought Florian took pride in being able to finish fights? What was that third round about? |

| well, i guess he wanted to play it smart. It's lilke like Huerta didn't have the two previous rounds to do something. |

smart, soft, conservative. However you want to phrase it, it was not his style. I just wanted for him to try and finish. At least fight like you did the first 2 rounds. I don't want MMA to turn into boxing, where fighters done engage in the later rounds when they are winning. |

Terrible analogy. Starnes lost round 3, 10-8. Florian won his round 10-9. How can the two be compared?
Huerta is a TOUGH dude to finish.
True, though, he didn't go after him like Clay Guida, but then again, Guida ended up on his back KTFO, while Florian won a unanimous 30-27 decision. I don't think he fought like a pussy in that 3rd round. Possibly just a little more cautious. I don't think it is any grounds to criticize. |

| he won the damn round. he backed up, caught Roger coming in wildly, and won the round. Kalib Starnes should never be mentioned in the same sentence with a real MMA fighter again. |

| Huerta kept coming forward with superman punches. What did you want Florian to do walk forward into it? No, he backs up, allows Huerta to miss, and then counters. Sounds smart, not soft. |

Just to play devils advocate, lets a fighter laid on his opponenet for the first two rounds, then entered the third and "avoided" punches the entire round, there would be no problem with that? Also, many fans booed that night because of what Florian was doing, so I certianly am not the only one that saw this.
I just thought that he wasn't nearly as agrressive as he normally is, and that had to have been because he felt he was winning on the cards. |
