Last night was the debut event for former UFC co-founder Bob Meyrowitz' Yamma Pit Fighting which featured their new "Yamma" fighting surface. The event took place on Pay-Per-View from the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, so if you missed it read on to see the results.

Many people didn't give Cung Le a shot against MMA pioneer Frank Shamrock, just ask the oddsmakers as Le was the underdog across the board. Le wasn't able to just survive against Shamrock though, he was able to break his arm in the process and take the TKO victory at the end of the 3rdRound.
There was a considerable amount of hype behind the Malaipet/Thomas Denny main event at last night's ShoXC event, unfortunately for MMA fans the fight only lasted a round as it ended by a disqualification. For those of you who weren't aware, ProElite's ICON Sport had an event last night in Hawaii that was broadcast for FREE on ProElite.com (don't worry, it's still there for free if you want to watch the replay). The event featured a main event of former UFC/Pride fighter Phil Baroni vs. Kala Kohole Hose for the ICON Welterweight championship.
Dream's debut promotion had come and gone before most Americans had even awoke, and the main event turned out to be a nightmare for MMA fans. The highly anticipated bout between Gesias “J.Z.” Calvancante and Shinya Aoki was ruled a No Contest after Calvancante threw and illegal elbow to the back of Aoki's head. Aoki was unable to recover. The event also featured a Lightweight Grand Prix, as well as Mirko Cro Cop's first fight since leaving the UFC.
For those of you who didn't know, UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock was fighting at Cage Rage yesterday on Showtime where he unfortunately came up short against Robert Berry.
