And then there were two, as so it might appear. Rumors started circulating UFC ring girl Chandella Powell’s card toting days were over after she was a no-show at Tuesday’s “UFC on FUEL TV: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger” weigh-ins.

As the old adage goes, ‘Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.’ Shortly after the fighters tipped the scales, explicit photos and videos of Powell were spotted on the Internet. It appears Powell engaged in soft-core pornographic activities under the pseudonym Mariah Ashton nearly a decade ago.

Although Powell didn’t confirm her release from the UFC, the 30-year-old did express great remorse for her previous actions.

“When you are young, you often don’t realize that your actions have consequences,” Powell posted on her Twitter account. “I made a bad decision about ten years ago, but you learn from these moments. There is nothing I can do to change the past, and believe me, if I could, I would. That decision doesn’t represent who I am today. All I can do now is put the past behind me and move forward.

“I am sorry to disappoint any of my fans and my family at Zuffa. I love you guys : )”

The organization has yet to issue a statement regarding the controversy, though Powell’s image was still on UFC.com’s Octagon Girls page at the time of publication.

Powell has posed for Playboy in the past. However, that was revealed to the UFC, and most likely helped her land the gig, when she initially applied for the position.

Speaking of Playboy, Powell’s rumored firing ironically comes on the same week where fellow Octagon card carrier Brittney Palmer’s nude eight-page pictorial in the men’s magazine hit newsstands.

UFC queen bee Rachelle Leah (November 2008) and reigning princess Arianny Celeste (November 2010) have also bared it all for Playboy.

If you are an extremely hot female or have prior experience in alerting fans as to which rounds are forthcoming, you best get your résumé ready just in case the world’s premier mixed martial arts promotion decides to replace Powell.
