UFC Bantamweight Demetrious Johnson

If you happened to miss Friday night’s featured attraction between Demetrious Johnson (Pictured) and Ian McCall, no worries because FUEL TV has released the video highlights from their highly-anticipated rematch.

While their initial meeting resulted in a controversial draw, Johnson left no doubt this time as to who should advance to face Joseph Benavidez in the finals of the flyweight tournament. “Mighty Mouse” used his speed and footwork to take a unanimous decision victory over “Uncle Creepy.”

No word on when the 125-pound championship affair will take place.

BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida hosted last night’s festivities.

Here’s our play-by-play of the scrap:

1stRound: Johnson secured a brief double-leg takedown. McCall is a tad careless with his attack and Johnson floors him with a right hand. He follows him to the ground, but McCall gets back to his feet. Fast and furious action, as expected. Johnson, 10-9.

2ndRound: McCall gets a takedown, but he can’t keep him there for long. McCall lands a nice flurry that sends his opponent back. Johnson takes an accidental kick to the groin and time is called. Game on. McCall secures another takedown, though Johnson bounces right back up. McCall picks him up and slams him to the mat, but once again, “Mighty Mouse” flies right back up to his feet. McCall connects on a spinning elbow as they separate from the clinch. McCall, 10-9.

3rdRound: Johnson gets a takedown and has him pinned against the fence. McCall fights his way to his feet. Johnson tags him with a one-two combo. McCall scores with a knee as they separate off the clinch. Johnson gets a punch-kick combination. Johnson’s footwork is the difference in this rematch.
