Despite the fact the biggest buzz surrounding last Saturday’s World Series of Fighting 2 event was that Andrei Arlovski wore UFC gloves during his unanimous decision defeat to Anthony Johnson (pictured) in the night’s featured attraction, the upstart MMA promotion’s sophomore show achieved much better ratings than in November’s debut.

WOSF 2 aired live on NBC Sports Network at 9:30PM ET/6:30PM PT. The main card peaked with 332,000 viewers, a solid increase of 46 percent from the promotion’s inaugural event (228,000).

Overall, their second promotion averaged 210,000 viewers, which was six percent larger than the 198,000 average they captured for their premiere.

Additionally, Sunday’s re-broadcast garnered 140,000 viewers. That’s 75 percent higher than the first re-airing of WSOF 1.

“We are thrilled with the tremendous amount of enthusiasm that fans have shown the World Series of Fighting product and look forward to continuously delivering live events filled with world-class matchups between top superstars of the sport and emerging talent from around the globe,” said WSOF president Ray Sefo.

WSOF 3 takes place June 14 at a yet-to-be announced venue in Las Vegas, Nevada. Former UFC welterweights Jon Fitch and Josh Berkman was slated to headline.
