Late Friday night, a heavyweight shootout between Pat Barry (pictured) and Soa Palelei was added to UFC Fight Night 33.
The December 7 event (airs live December 6 in North America) takes place inside Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane.
Barry has lost four of his past six scraps, including a TKO defeat to Shawn Jordan in his most recent outing. “HD” always seems to be on the chopping block, but the popular slugger manages to find a way to pull out a W when it’s most needed.
Palelei was admittedly less than spectacular in his long-awaited return to the Octagon last month against Nikita Krylov. Nonetheless, Palelei posted a third round TKO victory to collect his ninth consecutive win.
Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the main card live in North America.
