Former UFC light heavyweight champions Tito Ortiz and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson aren’t headlining tonight’s show, which might be a good thing considering there was very little interest in the scrap to begin with, and it allows the card’s true main event to take top billing.
One of the most anticipated rematches in MMA history goes down Saturday when reigning Bellator lightweight champ Michael Chandler (pictured) defends his throne against Eddie Alvarez. Chandler upset Alvarez two years ago in one of the sport’s most unforgettable matches.
According to the Gambling Gods, their sequel will provide the same result. Chandler is more than a 2.5-1 odds-on favorite to retain his crown. Alvarez, meanwhile, checks in as a 2-1 underdog.
Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California hosts the festivities.
