Former Pride middleweight and light heavyweight champion Dan Henderson let his feelings about the UFC’s new heavyweight champion be known, as he suggested that Brock Lesnar holding the title lowers the its value because of his inexperience.

“He’s 3-1 and he’s the UFC champion. It kind of diminishes the value of the belt a little bit,” said Henderson on a recent interview with The Fukerton.

Lesnar defeated Randy Couture at UFC 91 to become the UFC heavyweight champion on November 15th. With only a record of 2-1, Dana White and company felt that Lesnar was ready to compete against the best.

Henderson’s next fight will come against former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin, as both attempt to jump back into the title picture following losses to current champ Anderson Silva.
