According to MMAJunkie, lightweight Sam Stout (Pictured) has withdrawn from his UFC 137 contest against Dennis Siver. The exact cause of his exit is currently unknown, but this month’s unexpected passing of his brother-in-law and longtime trainer, Shawn Tompkins, may still be weighing heavy on his heart.
No word on who might replace Stout and face Siver in the October 29th event. The 155-pounders were slated to appear in the pay-per-view portion of the festivities.
UFC 137 takes place inside the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. A welterweight title bout between champion Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz will headline the show.
