During today’s UFC 102 conference call, former interim heavyweight champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira stated he will soon be joined in the UFC by his twin brother Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.  Since their names are practically the same, we will now refer to them as “Big” and “Little Nog,” respectively.

“He’s coming to the UFC very soon,” Big Nog said of his brother’s impending future. “[UFC officials] are going to announce that. I don’t know when. They’ve already talked to him, so for sure he’s coming to the UFC.”

Little Nog holds a 17-3 career record, with most of his battles coming against some of the world’s best fighters during his time with Dream and Affliction Entertainment. The crafty Brazilian is currently riding a five-fight winning streak.

The 33-year-old turned pro in 2002 and has been considered one of the planet’s best 205-pounders since. He holds two wins over current Strikeforce heavyweight champ Alistair Overeem, while also defeating Dan Henderson, Guy Mezger and Kazushi Sakuraba.

Little Nog was slated to take on Alex Stiebling on September 12th on the Bitetti Combat event, however MMAjunkie.com is reporting he has been scratched from the card.

No official announcement has been issued from the UFC or Bitetti Combat regarding the matter.

If this signing comes to fruition, it will certainly bolster an already star-studded UFC light heavyweight division.
